Too much, too little or too dirty: the global water crisis hits women and girls the hardest. Simavi works together with women and girls in Africa and Asia on system change.

We fight for equality and climate justice. For clean drinking water, decent toilets and good hygiene for everybody, everywhere. We believe in local solutions to tackle the climate and water crisis.

From 22 March 2026 – World Water Day – Simavi will continue this work as a member of the WaterAid family, a global not-for-profit working to provide clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene for everyone. Simavi will therefore become WaterAid Netherlands.
